Read the chapter titled, Sex and Gender which covers our content for this unit. It is very important to read the entire chapter and pay close attention to the characteristics and traits of Sex and Gender that encompass all aspects of culture. At the end of this chapter there are some critically thinking questions located on page 230. Get critical and give a detailed analysis in your answer. You can include information from the media, current world events, and your personal connection. Choose 1 of these questions as a start to your discussion. Here are the questions: 1) Under what circumstances would you expect male-female differences in athletic performance to disappear or will these differences ever disappear? You can reflect on your own experiences in sports, sports in media, professional sports, etc... 2) What conditions may make the election of a female head of state most likely? These questions lay a foundation for a position paper, argumentative paper, compare and contrast essay, and a critical response essay.
