Instruction
inal Project: Portfolio
1) Choose 3-4 pieces of work from the semester. These can be discussion postings, reader responses, parts of a project, etc. Your pieces should show the progression of your writing throughout the semester. The easiest way to do this would be to choose one piece from the beginning of the semester, one from the middle, and one from the end.
2) Write a 6-8 page essay describing:
What each piece of writing is and why you chose it.
How each piece shows your skills as a writer and how they build on one another to show your improvement and progress in writing throughout the semester.
The most important concepts you learned this semester.
How you plan to use what you learned in the future.
3) If you cite outside sources, remember to do this CORRECTLY. This was a major problem for many of you on the mid-term project.
4) Do NOT include your sample pieces as part of your 6-8 pages. Your essay should consist only of new, original writing except when you are citing something that you wrote in one of your sample documents. That being said, if you do cite yourself (which I suggest you do to support your argument) make sure you cite in-text and create a Works Cited or References page.
5) Final projects are due Sunday, December 7th by midnight.
