Microsoft C++ visual 2010 express. (the program should come up so I can build and debug to get the answer.) Write a recursive function that takes as a parameter a nonnegative integer and generates the following pattern of stars. If the nonnegative integer is 4, then the pattern generated is: **** *** ** * * ** *** **** Also, write a program that prompts the user to enter the number of lines in the pattern and uses the recursive function to generate the pattern. Example, specifying 4 as the number of lines would generate the above pattern.

Sorry - i must be doing something wrong, can you help? when i try to open it shows"1 or more project in the solution were not loaded correctly-please see output window for details'. output window shows' C:\Users\Klover\AppData\Local\Temp\wzb01e\Pattern\Pattern.vcxproj : error : Project "C:\Users\Klover\AppData\Local\Temp\wzb01e\Pattern\Pattern.vcxproj" could not be found.' any help is appreciated. thank you

There are a few things you can do. First make sure everything is extracted to a proper folder (it looks like you tried to open it directly in the zip file). First open the .sln file, if that doesn't work, open the main.cpp and run the file directly.
