Instruction
Write a short (approx. 1 page double spaced) paper where you discuss the Norton poem you read for today. In your discussion, consider any gothic conventions (motifs or themes) you see in the poem that were also in the Castle of Otranto. You might also consider how the poem (or certain elements of it) illustrates Thackers concept of the world-without-us. ** Notron poem is this one: "A Slumber Did My Spirit Seal" A slumber did my spirit seal I had no human fears: She seemed a thing that could not feel The touch of earthly years.
