Implements Port Security to protect against MAC layer attacks. Implements firewalls between VLANs to protect against VLAN attacks. Protects against spoofing attacks. Secures the network switches. Write a six to ten (6-10) page paper in which you: 1. Describe the routing and switching infrastructure and the routing protocols used in the environment. 2. Illustrate the secure routing and switching infrastructure topology through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Word or Visio, or an open source alternative such as Dia. Include a depiction of all core elements of the routing and infrastructure topology using color-keyed symbols to indicate the functionality of each item. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length. 3. Suggest one (1) overall troubleshooting methodology that you would use for your troubleshooting and maintenance plan. Provide a rationale to support your suggestion. 4. Create the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance processes that your fellow network engineers must follow in order to maintain the health of the network. Provide a rationale to support of your suggestion(s). 5. Analyze whether or not other system administrators can use the template of your plan to write troubleshooting and maintenance plans for their areas of expertise. Justify your response. 6.   • In re-reading what you originally and subsequently submitted the paper did not satisfactorily meet all the requirements. While you covered the items of infrastructure and the routing protocols used in the environment you did not properly illustrate the secure routing and switching infrastructure topology, the diagram you provided simply had PC, computers and users. There were no networking components exampled. Furthermore the area of maintenance in the paper was lengthy and redundant with no flow when reading. Two parts in particular, dust and smoke most certainly does not make sense in today's server rooms especially for the type of organization the paper exampled. Dust I can maybe see a couple of sentences covering it, however smoke would simply not be a factor. The portion about temperature and humidity as well would not be included in today's maintenance processes as central cooling would be considered a given. You stated that you were "very familiar" with Cisco, however the manner in which you wrote the paper was not representative of that. Frankly I was embarrassed to turn the paper in, there were many grammatical errors and the paper itself was unbearable to read. Academically speaking this was not University quality work. You should be honest with others and not tell them that you are familiar with a subject if all you are going to do is Google and search for the topics. Honestly I do not have to release the funds because you did not meet 2 requirements before the deadline, I gave you the opportunity to submit them and while you did the work still did not meet requirements. The only way I will release the funds is if by some miracle of a reason the Professor gives me at least a B on the assignment. I am waiting on him to grade it. Next time be honest when bidding for assignments.
