Their eyes are glued to the Telescreens as they nod, knowing without a doubt that whatever Big Brother tells them is right. Believe it or not, you might fit in better than you think. 1984 is a story of a world where a manipulative government rules over a country of everyday robots. In this commercial, we tried to portray the absolute hold that the Party has over Oceania's people. We wanted to show the viewer just how far gone and how easy it is to manipulate the citizens. It is for that reason that we decided to focus on the video as more of a propaganda piece rather as a commercial, but also adding a product into the video as a bonus to spice it up. As our group was in the process of creating the script, we had to keep certain things in mind. Things such our audience, the tone, the message, and of course the purpose of our video in the first place.
