hey, I have been trying all morning. I am not agile with using a computer so there might be something I can do but I don't know what. THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW: - Clients I have experience with; Autism, Intellectual Deficiency, Selective Mutism, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder. I also work as an ABA therapist with children that have been diagnosed with Autism. -There are Evaluations and Interviews (exams), the Interviews I need to prepare for beforehand because I am allowed to bring notes to exams with me! - When you are done each evaluation, send it to me so I can modify/study and prepare for Interviews. - There is an OBSERVATION REPORT I have to work on and I will use a client from my workplace (cannot remember which assignment that is for). I will get details, then you can develop it according to the assignment criteria. - Teacher wants answers in bullet point form, the assignment questions have evaluation criteria that is written in bold letters. You copy those questions and answer each one accordingly. - All the answers are in the study material and each assignment specifies where to find info.

There is no particular order, you can work as you wish although some of work needs to be developed to the next Cluster. You will notice as you read on. There is no deadline, I would like to graduate by mid-July. Sometimes the school asks us to visit with certain assignments but I will let you know in advance, no worries.

Hi. Firstly, while downloading the study material, it initially shows a size of close to 51 mb, but the download stops at 19 mb. And when I extract the files, some of them are corrupt. The files that got successfully extracted are: Cluster D (37 Files), Cluster E (10 Files). Apart from these two folders, I don't have any other files from the study material you sent. Would these be sufficient for me, as I don't see any files for Cluster F work? If possible, can you try sending these as separate zip files for separate clusters instead of just one big zip file? Ok perfect, I will send you everything later tonight the latest tomorrow! No, have not been awarded (that means depending on the type of work you do, they award you but since I do ABA therapy I have not covered that in my field). In Cluster E, the first 2 assignments are basically notes I have to extract from the study material. Whatever seems important and relevant to the "Interview" style exam I will take. I think they explain exam in the assignments. Basically just write down all the important info for those questions in bold and we can always send it in for feedback. My teacher gave me a sample concerning that on Friday, she already wrote some examples and said we need to find another 3 for each. Tomorrow I will scan and send you that info (The file marked "Cluster E work" something like that). Thank you, and don't feel rushed or pressured although you probably have other projects so I can understand.

The reference table Cluster E is just to show you how to organize everything, that's the one I was telling you about. I will scan and send to you later today !! (teacher printed it on Friday). She suggested to list 3-4 "major steps" for each column. Write everything in the spaces provided on the cluster E file and I will transfer it on my worksheet that I will use in the exam. SOME TIPS: Regarding the observation report I think in D, I will also send you something that looks like an observation report just so you can see but I cannot get a hold of an original right now. Either way they give examples on how to do one. The one I am sending you actually has information on the client I will be writing about. Do your best and prepare one, I will fill in the blanks. I first have to ask the client permission to "observe" her. Cluster D, Evaluation 1 part E "Intervention Plan", I will send you an example of what a plan looks like. I work with girls ages 13-24 so you can develop something according to that. I can later modify it and add to it in order to build on it for exams and work in cluster F? Hi. I was starting with Cluster-E-Evaluation-4, where I had a question. The instructions ask to pick one client profile each from two groups. The Groups are: Group 1 - a) A client with an intellectual disability. b) A client with a physical or neurological impairment. c) A senior with loss of autonomy. d) A young person with language or learning difficulties. Group 2 - a) A client with a mental health or drug dependency problem. b) A client experiencing social exclusion and violence-related issues. c) A young person with adjustment problems. The instructions also mention "The client or age groups worked with in Evaluation #3 will not be among the profiles given to you for this evaluation." In evaluation 3, I used client with autism (women in age range of 13-24), so I think I can't use 1d) (due to age group), 2a) (due to client problem - autism) and 2c) (due to age group). So that leaves me with 1a), 1b), 1c) and 2b) only. Which one would you want me to pick from Group #1 in this assignment? Also, do you think 2b) is fine?

hey, for group 1, 1a) looks interesting, anything you are comfortable with. Or 1d), you can use the age group of 3-7 for example and how a child becomes diagnosed with a disability because they do not meet the normal developmental stages... 2b is fine (I can develop on that even during an interrogation), whatever you are comfortable with. I do not have experience with seniors that's all, the rest I can work around. I hope I answered your questions.

looks perfect! It looks like evaluations 4 and 5 of E need work/questions assigned from teacher (I think) before starting. Do as much as you can if possible. Eval. 6 looks fine. I am not sure they would give me that info before completing D although they originally said that we can go at our own pace and complete what we can. Either way, we are getting work done. When you are done Eval. 3 and 6, begin Cluster D I guess, then we can go back. thank you for your hard work, it is not going unnoticed.

ok I looked at D, there are 4 parts to this assignment #1 exercise. Client OBSERVATION REPORT & its WRITTEN REPORT, and 2 more activities. !!! Look at the "NOTE" part right at the beginning of the assignment, it says that you will develop on the same client in E, maybe you can refer to what you have done in E and use it accordingly? I had sent you an example of an observation report as an idea, not all workplaces use the same, follow directions from cluster D. For the ACTIVITY which can be something as simple as working with 1 client on how to complete a simple task (aba inspired if you want, pictures...). for the CLINICAL TOOL which gives you 2 options (choose 1), that has to be done with a group of clients. example: a student had brought a project of a clinical tool, a wooden board that she attached door knobs, hooks, key holes and keys, light switches to which was used to help people with minimal mobility to practice on for future independent living. If you have an idea that requires me to do some work, I don't mind. *special care counseling or ABA therapy, you can decide what to use for each exercise in order to make it easier for you. For part 2 I don't think there is anything to do besides me preparing for Interview.

looks good! If there are any corrections, the teacher will give us a chance to modify answers and she will explain what needs to be done in detail. You will notice Eval. 4 is a little complicated in terms of not knowing what teacher will choose as an assignment, I think that is the one you were talking about and tried to choose by process of elimination. Eval. 5, is an Interview, you can gather some info from my study material referring to what will be reviewed during the test. I will try to gather it myself this week. Eval 6 is a written report and then it shows and asks you what will be reviewed in the interviews, you can answer those questions as well. If you want you can go back and continue with D at anytime. I am not financially ready to offer you more that the original agreement at the moment but I would like to keep in touch with you in order to make that happen after the work is completed because I appreciate all the hard work. thanks.

Hi. First of all thanks a lot for appreciation, as it keeps me motivated to give the best possible work. By when can I expect a clear direction on E-4? As the no. of assignments is more, I want to keep the rework at the minimum. So as you've suggested, I will continue on D-1. I've been working on it on and off as its the biggest of the lot. As for E-5, since that's an interview which doesn't need inputs from your teacher, I would take it up once I'm done with D-1. The best part about the work is that I am enjoying the research involved here, as it is helping me learn a few new things. And last but not the least, thanks for considering and appreciating the hard work, and also considering to give something over and above the original sum. I'm motivated even more to complete the work with the best possible quality. Hope I'll be able to wrap up everything in coming 2-3 weeks.

hey, I think it means that you write any relevant history that would help with the integration of a new plan. My job in the future will be to gather information about my clients and apply a plan in order to help them with goals. All theses assignments are "pretend" projects in order for me to practice what is required of me in the field. Example: It would be important for me to know that a client who is asking for help on recovering from a drug addiction has already entered a rehab program in the past. That would allow me to understand that they've struggled once before and were not able to succeed following such a program (figure out why they could not pull through, why did this not work out for them, other factors...). If the teacher mentions anything different when I see her this week I will let you know and I will show you all the corrected work. I will wait till you are done with some more work and send it.

The questions in "cluster D-Eval-2" are very much similar as in the "cluster D-Eval-1". So, not sure how the two are different. Can you please elaborate a little more on what needs to be done for "cluster D-Eval-2? ok, just by looking at it I believe it is just telling you what will be asked in a written interview. I have to base myself on PART 1. When you have free time, you an simply gather notes from the study material and add it to the bullet point questions they have. I have to study that and part 1 to prepare for part 2 exam. the last thing the teacher told me was that D moves into E which means they follow each other. I just looked at E6, that's sort of an evaluation so I do not see why you can't use same client. Go ahead and do that, if there are any complications after all the corrections I will take care of it with your help. Teacher is very descriptive and it is very easy to understand her corrections. I do not think there are any issues, it makes sense to use same client.

ok, I think the numbers AA-1... are not study material but what they call "elements" which is the score board that teachers use to evaluate. The study material codes are usually in the beginning of the exercise and are in parentheses. Evaluation 6 is an overview of everything. Repetition and gathering info to prepare for the exam. I did not get a chance to look at the cluster in detail and I would like to pay close attention so I can answer your questions carefully. I might even have a chance to speak with my mentor. I will reply tomorrow, do not expect a quick reply this time because I am not sure what time I will be able to reply. I had an emergency with a client and there are some things I have to take care of first.

Just to make sure I understand your question correctly are you talking about study material references in general or a specific assignment? If you look at Cluster F, The evaluation 2 is similar to one of the assignments in 1, maybe it's because it is once again an overview. I know that in this module we have to come up with a power point presentation which will be presented in front of the classroom but I am not sure which one of the assignments it is. I will find out. Here are 2 examples of what classmates had presented: One did a project on girls who she noticed were hanging out alone at school and started a lunch club by approaching them and asking them to join. They would meet and come up with inspirational projects and events...The other presentation was about spreading autism awareness among people who are actually within the spectrum and how it helped some of them understand their disability more. They are very different and it can be something very simple. I will think of something but feel free to start gathering work for that if you think of anything. thanks

Hi. I did not download the presentation anywhere from the internet. Instead I searched for the images for different human emotions, and used them to create this presentation on my own. So only the images were taken from the internet, the content is all original. As for the F assignments, I have chosen a person having a social adjustment problems due to being addicted to substances. I am working on it currently. Also, you mentioned that for E-4 you'll let me know the inputs of your teacher, so waiting to hear on that as well.

that's perfect, thank you. I appreciate your hard work. For F, Evaluation 2 is the presentation I had spoken to you about. I believe 1 follows into 2 (same topic that you develop further). If you have started working on substance abuse individuals, I only have experience working as a volunteer at the Old Brewery Mission (you can read about the organisation) for these types of individuals. It's a homeless shelter that houses individuals who are in need of its services. Evaluation 2 can be a presentation on a small project I did with coworkers with a group of its clients for example. It would be interesting to work on this because it will show my skills besides working as an ABA therapist and as a counselor for individuals affected by ASD. If you run out of ideas, let me know your thoughts and I can give you input.

oh no, I am fine with it. What I meant to say was that some of the clients who were homeless were addicted to drugs, this way with your idea, you can develop it and incorporate it the homeless shelter if you wish. F-2 could be a project on that type of work. There are a lot of projects to help the individuals at that location but it would be interesting to develop the assignment and present an activity that I did for and with the clients. It could be based on drug addiction and on the facility like the Old Brewery Mission. example; drug addiction group therapy activity. You can incorporate the shelter I worked in. Up to you. I can always adjust the work, there is no problem. If that does not fit, I could just switch it and use the Big Sister Program I was involved in as a volunteer as well. It is a program that involves kids and teenagers, it's a meeting point for troubled youth.

I don't think there are any rules for that, all the classmates did different things. I guess because I will be presenting work in front of a classroom it might seem boring not to show anything on the board as I am talking so you can make some presentations but it doesn't have to be power point. For example all the check-marked questions that they ask of you, you answer accordingly as you have been doing thus far, and you can fancy it up by making charts, bullet points...etc. example: if a question is about the "objectives" of assignment, you can fancy that up so that it shows up on the projector while I am speaking. thanks

Hi. Please don't feel sorry, as I know you were taking care of a medical emergency. Before you prepare to answer the questions here, I would request you to go through F-1 (that I provided last), and let me know how it looks to you. There is one issue with F-1 though. By mistake I've put the age of client as 15, whereas it should be 25. So if you can correct the same (it's at one place only), then that would be great. Else let me know, and I can correct that at my end and attach the doc again. Outstanding items: F-2 requires activities to be outlined, which I think is the presentation you are referring to. For F-2, I have chosen the same client as for F-1 (homeless person with a drug problem), and I have used the interventions provided at Old Brewery Mission (Etape and EScale programs). But I have yet to write activities. Do you want these activities in powerpoint (as I was going to write them in MS Word)? For E-6, I have taken an unemployed person who is looking for a job as the client (something that you had suggested earlier). Does that look fine to you?

You can do E-6 and wait for info on F presentation, if you look at the question of E6, it says either a client that was provided or one you work with. I have an idea that you will not be able to help me with but I have not yet decided if I will choose that so do whatever you can to help me with any ideas you have, do not worry too much about it being perfect as I will work on it myself. So it turns out that the entire cluster is the "presentation" itself. There's nothing tricky about it, basically follow the questions and at the end I would talk about the entire experience in front of the classroom. The teacher said that we can choose something that exists as far as a presentation goes (example, if I spoke about poverty/homelessness and there was an empowering project I wanted to do with clients, it could be something I saw or read about...).

I will give you an idea of what I thought about for F order to kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak but I feel that you will not be able to do it because you don't know enough on the subject. As I've told you before I work as an ABA therapist at a readaptation center. The way it works is that all junior and senior therapists are supervised by board certified behavior analysts, they review data and change/modify the ABA programs for the clients with the help of us therapists along the way. I was recently approached by a college who is starting a private clinic and she offered me to take care of the ABA program. The clinic being private and me receiving a degree soon would mean that I would be allowed to be my own supervisor. That would also mean that I could be flexible and change programs as I move along with a client instead of waiting on a supervisor to confirm. There are too many children on waiting lists and by the time they reach the age of 7 (the government only pays for ABA therapy till the age of 7) they are already off the list. So many families are not able to pay for long periods of therapy so I decided I could make a program that allows me to "coach" families, daycare centers/teachers. I want to develop an 8 week program in order for them to apply the rules of ABA themselves. We will also offer private courses. I only need to make an outline of what the different programs could help with in order for it to be viewed on the website by cleints. An actual ABA program is personal to each individual's needs, it would basically be the FAQ's on aba and an overview of the 8 weeks and what changes it could make. If you would be interested in this instead I could wotk on it this week and send you all the info I find and we can work on it together. You don't have to finish it with me, just help me a little. What do you think? I still have to do it in real life, so why not present it in class as well.

hey :) ok, I did my exams on C and D, all went well. I finally got feedback and after this we're done! If I am giving you useless info let me know. She said to be a little more general for cluster E. For example, when you talk about epilepsy, give other general examples to answer the questions without being too focused on one subject. Follow worksheet for part 3 (did you try to download and it did not work? maybe it's there and I did not see it). Part 4, it's a 3 hour exam which I will do in school, there will be 2 scenarios with clients I am not familiar with but it will be the same exercise/model of part 3 assignment and worksheet. Part 5 is interview/oral exam for part 3. Part 6 is a client group I choose for a client that is being integrated or reintegrated. Having said all this, I think I can manage for everything instead of you going back to correct so don't worry, just do part 6! what do you think? For cluster F, just finish up because I will work on it myself more to practice for presentation.
