What is your working thesis statement? 3. What are your three or four main ideas that you will be addressing in your essay? 4. For each main idea, what are the three or four supporting details that support those ideas? 5. How are you going to integrate information from your sources? In a research essay like the one we're writing, every main idea and supporting detail needs to be rooted in a source. That means you will have at least two-three citations per body paragraph. If you don't have that many citations (and quotes or, preferably, paraphrases), then you need to redo what you've written. You need to type your outline (again, in whatever format you wish) in 12-point Times New Roman font and upload it as a Word document (.doc or .docx file) to the dropbox.
