About This Course
LIBS 150 Introduction to Research is a four-week, one-credit course designed to help you develop and refine skills in locating, evaluating, and using information for a specific purpose. These are fundamental skills that you will need throughout your time at UMUC and beyond.
The assessments within this class include short quizzes, discussions, a two-part research log project, and a final exam.
Ungraded practice activities are provided to help you master the material.
Material and assignments are organized by week, with reading and activities required in each of the four weeks.
This is not a self-paced course; you will need to interact with your instructor and your classmates throughout the duration of the course.

You will access the research log projects through the course content. Your instructor will assign you a grade for your research log projects. 35%

Final Exam
You are required to complete a final exam for this course, which you will access through the LIBS 150 online classroom Course Content in LEO. Your score will be automatically entered into your portfolio. 15%
