The required slides are: Title slide Basic introduction to the event, place, or figure as he/she/it appears in legend; a focused statement on why this event, place, or figure is interesting and important as a cultural phenomenon (look on this as a sort of "thesis" for the project) Overview of the major versions of the legendwhat authors are known for writing versions of the story in which the event, place, or figure is found? Are there any other major artistic works (paintings, murals, operas, symphonies) related to the event, place or figure? It is all right in this section to discuss works after our course end-date (approximately 1600 CE). Discussion of whether or not the figure/place/event is known in different cultures How this figure, place, or event has survived into modern times or notare there modern (19th, 20th, 21st century) re-workings of the story? Conclusion MLA Works Cited List and Bibliography of Works Consulted (if anyone used works for basic information that they did not cite) Note that all writing on the slides should be original; the projects will be run through Turnitin upon submission, and all distinctive matching information caught by Turnitin should be formatted as a quotation.
