Create your own cipher. Use this cipher to write me a short message.
A few hints: Keep the cipher simple. I don't want to take more than 5 minutes deciphering a message. If it takes me too long to decipher, I will move on to the next submission.
Also, keep the message short. Again, if it takes too long, I will move on.
Submit your key as well as your coded message. Without the key, I cannot figure you the message.
Also, in a paragraph, explain why this technique is important. I realize that we are oversimplifying this, but the idea is there.
Example of a message and key:
UIJT DMBTT JT GVO!
Key = -1 (meaning go down one letter - example: Z=Y or B=A)
