Complete your essay on the following topic: Do you think Kant is right, when he argues that actions that are motivated by self-interest for example; being honest and fair because its good business, or because you want to get to heaven do not have any moral worth? Do you think hes right when he argues that actions motivated by inclination for example, running into your burning house to save your child because you love him or her do not have any moral worth? Kant would say that in the latter example, your action is brave, selfless, loving, caring, shows that you are a great parent... but it is not morally good is he right? Is reason and reason alone the sole possible basis for moral laws that can obligate everyone, everywhere, in every situation?
