You will choose a region or country and using your sources, explore how the US affects or is affected by this topic. the paper must include your solution to the topic's issue. Case study must be a 5-7 page paper(min. 5 full, pages double spaced, typed, and use of max. 12 font. PowerPoint: it should be a summary of the case study highlighting the most interesting aspects of the research please limit to 5 slides. I have to be able to print this project. I do have some questions - 1) what level class is this (e.g. freshman, sophomore, etc.)? 2) Have you guys discussed this subject in class? If so, can you tell me any case studies you have discussed? (I don't want to do a story on something that you covered in class - first thing that came to my mind was Foxconn in China that assembles phones for iphones, etc. - not sure, but that was my first thought. It was on 60 Minutes last week, so I wanted to make sure you guys didn't already talk about it in class.) Thanks!

I just uploaded the essay. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. I will draft a ppt for you. The instructions were 5 slides - so if you have to present it, it's going to be more like an outline than a lot of words you can read. So you will have to be familiar with the concepts in the essay. I'm not sure how comfortable you are with presentations, but if you want, I can probably write you some notes for the presentation. Let me know after I send the ppt.

I'm glad you thought the paper looks good. I'll get you a script and send your ppt by Friday, if not tomorrow night. I want to make sure you have the weekend to go over it! Generally, even with the same info., the flow of a good paper can be different than the flow of a good presentation so I want to make sure you have a good flow for your presentation. Do you know how long it should be? I don't see it in the instructions. I'm assuming 5 mins. Let me know if you have more specific time.

I just uploaded the ppt and the speech notes. You can manipulate it to the way you talk, but I think it is pretty good. I also uploaded the sources (except web sources) used so you will have them in case you ever need them. If you have any questions, I'll check back here. If not, I'll look for your next posting! Sorry, I didn't see this until right now (Monday night). Thanks for the great feedback, by the way. I hope the person you assigned the assignment to does a good job. If you don't feel comfortable with the job the person does, I'd be happy to help you with the paper. I'll check back on this thread! If the outline isn't great, remember you can probably change it for the actual paper but you might need to run it by the prof. How did your ppt presentation go?
