I am giving you a new, brief assignment for Thursday. Over the next few days, spend some time reflecting on what topic you would like to write your essay about. On Thursday, bring a short, typed paper where you tell me three things: a) what your tentative topic is, b) what research question/questions you might address, and c) what your current hypothesis concerning the topic is (see St. Martin's 195). please remember to read They Say Chapter 6, "Skeptics May Object" (78-91) and St. Martin's Chapter 10, "Preparing for a Research Project" (190-199).
