REQUIREMENTS
You must complete all components of the article submission form to receive credit.
You CANNOT submit a press release or "case study" that is basically a promotion for a company's product or an announcement provided by the company or anyone on their behalf (example-- statement of earnings, statement of forecasts, etc.).
What you submit must be a news/analysis/informational article.
You may not submit anything from Wikipedia.
All submissions must be from VALID, KNOWN news sources: Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business Week, The Economist, etc. Submissions from industry journals are also permitted.
Articles MUST BE from within the last year.
Articles CANNOT be from a subscription site (since I may not have access).
ABOUT SUBMITTING ARTICLES
You must ABSOLUTELY submit the Lean Operation article following Thanksgiving break. An email with a link for that submission will be provided separately from this submission process. You do NOT use this process to submit it!
You may submit up to 3 additional articles that relate to the OM topics provided on the form.
You may only submit one article per topic.
Remember: If you do not submit articles besides the Lean Operations topic, you MUST submit REAL WORLD EXPERIENCES. Click here for more information on how to submit, etc.
COMPLETING THE SUBMISSION FORM
Enter your name and section information correctly
Select the OM topic (no more than one submission per topic permitted)
Provide the article source and title
Enter the URL (copy/paste to ensure accuracy)
Write a brief summary of the news article (2 sentences maximum)
Write a statement of how the article relates to the subject we discussed during the semester (3-5 sentences maximum) and its' significance to business/consumers as a whole.
