I need help to design a building based on occupant and fire safety. The building can be no less than 10,000 square feet. The building is to be a mixed occupancy residential and retail (retail on the bottom floor) and have a minimum of 3 floors. your main focus is occupancy safely (this includes suppression systems, egress locations and types, etc.) and firefighter safety and accessibility. The general fire and building codes are to be followes for Washoe County. Codes are available on line. Describe the building and it components, reason why you chose them.

  • I don't have a sample, but here is more information you need: choose the foundation, structural members, and materials, roof trusses, roofing type and materials, etc. State the total square footageper floor, auxiliary such as sprinklers and alarms, if choose to install them or if you have to. Are you be to build the same building in Wyoming or California, or would u have limitations because of wind/snow loads, earthquake bracing, etc.? If you or your famiy lived there would it be safe? Would your building be a firefighters nightmare or would a fire be easily suppressed or contained? Why?
