  • Solutions 1. Set the servers to update automatically when a vendor releases a security patch for it. ( however, for some patches, I will have to take note of what will be changed as it may affect my network in a way) 2. Replace the entire server if it is really too old to fulfil user requirements or there are damages to it. 3. Schedule a weekly or monthly maintenance for the servers. The time for maintenance will depend on how heavy the server usage is. Maintenance will include scanning for malicious software, disk clean-up, defragmenting etc. 4. Use RAID 1 to back up the disk memory. Other technologies can also be used to do back-ups 5. Disable all public and private access from the internet to the servers to prevent attackers from exploiting its services. Only grant access to the administrators. 6. Change the operating system to a common one like windows server, as it is more commonly used. 7. Fully utilise the servers for the company to achieve maximum efficiency
