In chapters six and seven of Surprise Attack, Kam discusses a number of factors (to include groupthink, the leader and the expert, organizational hierarchies, and the all too common other opinion) capable of pressuring analysts to modify their analysis or run the risk of being ostracized by individuals or groups. For this weeks forum, describe (1) a personal or professional instance in which you either experienced/viewed an instance of group or organizational pressures addressed by Kam; (2) the factors that contributed to pressures being exerted; and (3) a strategy that could have been employed to mitigate or prevent the pressures from being exerted. Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 250 words.
