Please read the instructins very carefully. ( attached )When writing take into considration that I'm not a native speaker so do not make the essay too sophisticated.
This paper has five components.
1) Write a clear claim, which explains how you will consider your text and Foucaults ideas.
In the introductory paragraph introduce the text you are analyzing, as well as the essay Panopticism. For both materials, identify the author, using their full name, and the title or name of the text.
2) Describe your textual example. If it is a film or book, offer a summary. If it is a location or other non-narrative text, offer a description. This summary or description should not include every detail, but should provide the reader with information about the details important to your analysis.
3) How is your example using panopticism?
Some questions you may use to organize your thoughts include:
What characteristics does this text share with the ideas or examples in the essay?
Are there spatial similarities between this text and Foucaults examples?
If this is a narrative, do people interact in ways which demonstrate panopticism?
How are people or bodies disciplined in this text?
How are people experiencing surveillance?
What does this example highlight or illustrate about panopticism?
To write this section, which will make up the majority of your paper, you will need to use quotes from Foucault as well as details or quotes from your text. Your goal in this essay is to put Foucault and his theory into conversation with a text and sources of your own selection. This will require careful reading of the sources you identify, and the thoughtful selection of quotations.
4) Provide an image which demonstrates your texts use of panopticism. This image may be located as an attachment to your paper, or included within the paper itself.
5) In conclusion, return to your claim which describes the relationship between the theories of panopticism and your chosen text.
