Instruction
Today we talked about the difficulty of finding or affording nutritious food for some people who live in poverty or do not have access to nutritious food. We will talk more about nutrition after spring break. Even if you have had to live off of a minimum wage budget, this assignment is an opportunity to put it in perspective. In the following article, lawmakers lived off of 42 dollars a week for groceries to put in perspective the necessity for fair wages.

As an assignment, go to a grocery or convenience store and plan out what you would buy for a week's worth of food for your family (which should include your whole family-spouse and children if you have them) using 42 dollars. You do not have to buy the food, but write down the items and prices. Try to buy nutritious food, and make sure to include tax!
Email me your list of food and total price by April 15 for 5 points. For an extra 5 you can actually do the experiment and write about your experience in a one page synopsis due April 15
