I need a discussion post done that's about 10 sentences or more. I want to make a connection again to Bonilla-Silva's work on colorblind ideology, this time applying it to Mexican immigrants. The article that I've uploaded in this discussion utilized a similar data collection strategy focusing on discourse analysis as Bonilla-Silva. The frames that are patterned are different in that they relate to Mexican immigration through what the author calls a racist nativism. In your discussion posts, look to make links to Bonilla-Silva's work, and discuss how colorblind ideology operates differently based on the race/ethnicity under discussion, but that the general ideological parameters it sets remain the same. This article is actually from the current issue of Social Currents, the journal of the Southern Sociological Society.
