he basic idea behind the proposal is to take some of the concepts of sound research design you are learning about and apply them to a specific topic of interest to you. The emphasis is on what you WOULD do. I'm looking for a carefully thought-out study on your part designed to answer a research question.

You may be asking--"What do I do now?" After reading the articles you have found, try to come up with a research hypothesis you think is worth testing—it could be something that hasn’t been tested before or a variation on a previous study. The paper should discuss how you would go about testing this hypothesis. As far as participants and materials, the sky is the limit, but be reasonable! You couldn’t test everyone in the world and you don’t have a 12 million dollar budget. Also, if you plan to use a questionnaire it should be one that is already available; for example, don’t simply say, “I would test the participants using a depression questionnaire.” You need to say, “I would test the participants using the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI).”
