  • For this assessment, you can select a nursing admission/assessment or patient care/preparation process or procedure (e.g routine shaving of the surgical site) that is commonly found in hospital practice setting that nurses may question. Gather evidence to determine the basis for this process or procedure, provide suggestions based on evidence on how this process/procedure should be changed and determine possible barriers to implementation of a revised clinical practice guideline. Choose topic that is nurse driven. Do not choose topics that require the approval of other healthcare professionals outside of nursing. I hope this clarify any confusion that you may have. I've got that info - the levels are evidence levels (I - Experimental studies, RCT, systematic review of RCT; II - quasi-experimental study, systematic review of quasi and RCT; III - non experimental study, qualitative study or meta synthesis; IV - opinion of respected authorities based on scientific evidence; V - based on experiential and non research evidence). Please confirm if this is correct? Secondly, your paper requires me to discuss sources from reputed medical databases (like EBSCO, CINAHL, PubMed, OVID, Medline, etc.), but I don't have access to any of these. Can you provide me a login id//pwd to access one or more of the medical databases? Thanks in advance for all your help.

  • I need five research based evidences (level I - III) to fill the Evidence Matrix. The evidences need to be from the medical databases, and should not be more than 5 years old. So can you somehow search some links from those database (using keywords like "Surgical Site Infections and shaving of surgical site" or "Preoperative hair removal and Surgical Site Infection"), copy their text to a Word document (including the authors, references, etc.), and send those docs across? If you can send more than 5, that would be better as I would then be able to choose the ones that suit the needs of this assignment the best. TIA.
