Folks -- My apologies -- our young intrepid Utilization Expert Kristen helped me discover a typo error on Problem #4 regarding the Sleep Pods. The company only has 4 sleep pods, not 5. If you run the numbers with 5, you will find a 100% utilization. While entirely possible in a very efficiently scheduled system, the random nature of drop-ins at this particular organization makes no waiting time highly unlikely if not statistically improbable. If you ran the numbers, please run them again with 4 pods. Since no one has turned it in yet, I suspect you can handle this relatively quickly. You will need the utilization to run the waiting que time formula with the given SD and Inter-arrival coefficient. Great job, Kristen. Trust me, I was not trying to torture you all with a trick question. It was an honest typing mistake on my part.
