User_5970 | Oct 05, 2016, 18:56 PM
this some recommendation from my professor to help you fir final report Report: Key issue - not showing relavance of data presented; presenting data, but not providing information or insights; not well-thought out recommendations Demographics not meaningful race and income are top drivers for comparison area (ex. Baltimore, Maryland to Bethesda, Maryland is NOT a good comparison) age and home ownership are top drivers for recruitment, use of technology; when/how to conduct patrols types of crime are drives for recommendations (ex. if home burglaries are the top crimes, then solutions focus on reducing car theft are less useful) Appropriate recommendations National night out is already being held in Baltimore, so what would be different to improve recruitment, expand partnerships, raise funds, etc. Use of city state funding is a good idea, but how would the community accomplish this Use of technology is a good idea, but what technology can the residents actually incorporate, understanding their age and income Method of patrol should consider types of crimes and age of residents - is biking the best solution for residents who are >65years, etc. Accuracy of data some groups have the median age for Baltimore area as 30 years compared to others who had 60 years Know source of data and make similar comparisons Know your audience - reminder the audience includes retired Baltimore police who know about operations in other areas
