Review this week's videos regarding the Google self-driving car. Google is currently testings a fully autonomous ("self-driving") car. A self-driving car provides obvious advantages, yet the majority of American's do not want a fully autonomous car. If you were the head of Google, how would you price the car when introduced and how would the price change over the following 10 years? How does the stage of a product life cycle affect price? Give some other examples of new products that could provide a pricing analogy for Google to follow. 3:30 minutes youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsaES--OTzM

Virgin Galactic will enable individuals to fulfill their dream of traveling beyond Earth's orbit. Space enthusiasts can purchase a ticket for only $250,000, This is a relatively cheap price compared to the amount paid by earlier "space tourists." Dennis Tito, the world's first "space tourist" bought a seat aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft in 2001 and reportedly paid nearly $20 million (CNN, 2013). Virgin Galactic has already sold 640 seats to space enthusiasts. Virgin Galactic is not the only corporation pursuing suborbital spacecraft for tourism. Blue Origin and XCOR Aerospace are developing suborbital flights using reusable crewed suborbital spaceplanes. SpaceX and Boeing were awarded NASA contracts develop their Crew Dragon and CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, respectively.
Who is the target market for space travel (be specific; don't just say "rich people). How would you price the service -- is $250,000 to little (doesn't cover costs) or too much? What will happen to the price of a trip into space as more competitors enter the market?
