State the author's subject & position on the subject, in your own words. Why did you choose this article? What about it interests you? After reading this, do you agree or disagree with the authors position? What types of memorable and outstanding sentences, words, phrases, and examples (facts, outside authority, and other evidence) does the author use that pull you in one direction or the other in their efforts to persuade readers to agree with their position on this subject? Give several examples of how the author uses appeals to logic (facts & statistics), ethics (a moral sense of right and wrong) and emotions (making the reader feel emotions towards the subject, including fear, sadness, humor, etc) to build their case? Overall, did you find this to be a substantial, persuasive essay? Why or why not?
