i want a report for a concert that i attend in the university i need it after 5 hrs Format: Introduction Begin with an introductory paragraph. Include in this paragraph where the concert was, when it was, who was performing, and any other pertinent introduction information. Description of pieces Write a minimum of one paragraph for EACH piece performed. You must report on the entire concert. State the titles and composers. Describe the music. (More on how to do this, below.) Make sure you read your paper carefully before turning it in. Conclusion Wrap up with a paragraph that summarizes your experience. Did you love it? Hate it? Learn anything? (This is a suggestion. DO NOT state: I didnt learn anything.) What did you think about the performance? Turn in the concert program and/or ticket with your name clearly printed on the front. Length: Your paper should be at least 500 words in length. Occasionally, concerts will include many short pieces. If you find yourself at 500 words with many pieces left to mention, feel free to comment on the pieces in groups, but you must write about EVERY piece and it must be obvious that you stayed for the entire concert. Tips: 1) Read the program and use it as a starting point -- Many classical concerts provide a program and possibly a description of each piece. Use program notes to help you, but dont copy the program notes. Copying or paraphrasing program notes, concert reviews in the newspaper, online sources (no Googling!), etc. is plagiarism!! Do not share your paper or computer with another student. Pretending that you went to a concert (or stayed for the whole thing when you didnt) is academic dishonesty. If something unusual happens at the concert, MENTION IT. 2) Take notes during the concert discretely -- Some people do better with reports by taking notes while others succeed by just listening to the program. I suggest that you take some brief notes on the program itself to help you remember what you are hearing. Above all, write the report soon so you wont forget details! 3) Describe what you hear Consider the elements learned in class: melody, rhythm, harmony, texture, form, tempo, and dynamics. Feel free to use your own descriptive words.Talk about how the music makes you feel if you love it or hate it, tell me WHY. 4) Operas and musical theater are GREAT, but be careful! If you attend an opera or musical, dont fall into the trap of describing the plot of the story. Describe the music.
