MLA format Part I (20 points) Short Answer Write about the accused witches ad their accusers and describe the different goals and/or views of each member of the pair. Be sure to explain how these people felt they should fit into the power structure of the Americas from the late 1400s to the early 1700s. Answers should be three to four sentences long. Part II (20 points) Short Essay Answer the following question in approximately half a page: How and why did slavery start in the American colonies? What was life like for slaves in the colonial period? Part III (60 points) Long Essay Between 1492 and the early 1700s, peoples from all over the world encountered one another in the Americas, with dramatic repercussions for all of them. Write about African slaves and native americans and describe their experiences in the Americas after 1492, and explain how their journeys and encounters with others affected their lives. Be sure to include specific examples of legislation, literature, art/music, events, etc. from the readings and discussions to prove and illustrate your arguments. Your answer should be between one and two pages long.
