For you second reflection assignment, I would like for you to compare the two dominant western empires that we have examined recently...the Roman Empire and the Islamic Caliphate. Specifically, I would like you to address the following questions: 1) How were the Roman Empire and Caliphate similar and different from one another, in terms of society, governance, and economy? 2) How did these empires influence modern society?
