What is the significance of the ethics of care for ethical theory in general? Must we rethink the scope of the ethical theories entertained so far? Or do we require additional ethical theories? Or does the ethics of care fail to affect how we should theorize about ethics? In a discussion post, take a stance on the above matter. Whatever the stance you take, provide arguments (objections, etc.) to support your position. You should draw on the materials found in the assigned excerpt from Gilligan's "In a Different Voice" and from Chapter Eleven of Rachels' book. In any case, you should think of your discussion post as a short (1-2 page) essay.
