Hello, I have homework in marketing research class and it's due 6 HOURS FROM NOW and this is it:
It is believed that in a personal selling context, the characteristics of the salesperson influence the likelihood of closing the sale. Think about a research design to test this proposition. Note that this is a very broad statement. You need to focus on a (few) specific characteristics as well as a specific selling context. Make sure you do the following:
1. Identify and define the variables/constructs you are considering.
2. What qualitative research method(s) are you going to apply to gain more insight about your proposition/hypothesis. Provide details of the method, the sample, and data collection and analysis. (Remember this is the qualitative phase)
3. How might the insight from the qualitative phase help refine your proposition/hypothesis.
4. What are your dependent, independent, moderating, and mediating variable(s)? (Remember you dont have to have a moderation or mediation effect.)
5. Suggest ways that you can measure the variables.
6. Conceptually argue for the reliability and validity of your design.
