Instruction
I need a review, corrections and adding on my research paper. Attached is the paper itself, and criteria for grading.
Questions to ask yourself of the introduction:
- Does the introduction contain a 'hook' which is a statistic or story that illustrates the importance of the topic?
- Is the topic clearly stated?
- Do we get a review of the topic, brief history and any background information that we need to understand the scientific research articles being examined?
- Are all 'fact' statements properly cited?
- Are all figures that have been included also talked about in the introduction?
- Do you tell which research articles you will cover in paragraph one of the intro and again at the end of the intro before moving into methods?
- Is everything tied together, so that it flows into the methods?
Methods and Results: (Attached are some samples)
- Must be in your own words
- Must explain anything the author's use, such as scales use, PCR, Western Blots, statistical analysis, graphs, abbreviations, etc.
- If the method includes questionnaire(s), you will need to include sample questions from these.
- May not want to use original graphs-usually better to redo as typically they are too long and too complicated
- Must label axis and give a title (reference, this will say adapted from)
- Must get creative with your tables
For the final paper, you will ALSO summarize all author's conclusions and then go into your proposal. While the proposal seeks answers to key questions, you want to write it in paragraph form and include figures to improve clarity/
