King of the beats by jack
BIRTH MEANS DEATH
he always got in trouble and he was constantly imporecating his friends to come visit him when he felt like it even if you were 15000 miles away.
Jack looked at me, and he said, you know Huncke, youre the first person that got me interested in Sinatra or something like that. but he was obliviously pretty well along with liquor, you know and I just couldnt take him. Careworn, sad, sad face round and bloated, and he had gotten quite fat. My first that was, he looked like an old turk. At one point he was talking to me and he told me something that obviously had touched him very deeply. There were tears in his eyes and you know it made me want to weep. I dont know I left shortly after that.
He had enough of the world.
Were sitting in a studio, drinking, and finally, jack says stash, I have an idea. He says lets commit suicide together. And I thought come on, you crazy. Lets drink, you know?
Weve finished up drinking and a few weeks later he would bring it up about four or five times I think. You know he kept saying it over and over again. And finally I was up here and one night we were at the bar and jack says he has an idea lets commit suicide together. I said great you go first he said you song of a bitch. And from then on he never mentioned it again.
Jack keroack the novelist who wrote on the road, reached the end of it today 47 year old spokesman for the beat generation died from a massive hemorrhage in st. Petersburg Florida hospital.
I dont know of any other writer who had more seminal influence than Kerouac
In opening up the heart of the writer to tell the truth from his own secret personal mind.
Anyways I wrote the book because we are all gonna die and the loneliness of my life my father dead, my brother dead and my mother far away my sister and my wife far away. Nothing here but my own tragic hands. That once were guarded by a world a sweet attention. That now are left to guide and disappear their own way. into the common dark of all our death. Sleeping in me raw bed alone and stupid with just this one pride and consolation my heart broke in the general despair and opened inwards to the lord. I made a supplication in this dream. So the last page of on the road I described how the hero neal cassady, was come to see me from the west coast just for a day or two wed just been back and forth across the country several times in a car and now our adventure are over. ..
At the end of the book he thinks about neal cassady.

i wasn't so sure myself, the bed was the bed my father died in---"..." "Go ahead" she said. she grabbed me and i tired to forget neal was there. every time i realized he was lying there , stiff as a board and listening for every sound in the dark i couldn't make it. i kept rolling off. it was horrible. " we must all relax" said neal. " im afraid i cant make it. why dont you go in the kitchen a minute?" neal did so.
