  • Ok, Friend. I have checked the syllabus. We are required to write only 3 long paper in the course. Paper One was due on 16th, the next paper is due on 16th March and the third paper due on 20th April. Also there is a Midterm paper on 23 Feb.

The reason is that I did first an interdisciplinary paper and later did a comparative paper and next is annotated bibliography and writing film treatment and midterm paper.   • Hello-- This is an interesting combination of texts, and certainly one could argue that both address the breaking of norms. Part of your problem, though, is that this isn't an apples-to-apples comparison. You discuss the breaking of norms within the world of the book in Alienist, but between the book and the outside world in Kieu. This requires 2 different types of analysis -- formalist and reception -- and doesn't provide comparable points. Also, it is clear that you have used research -- you spend time on a novel we didn't read -- but it is not cited. The citations you do have are often incorrect (you cite Machado de Assis as the author of Kieu more than once) and your works cited page is incorrect for MLA or APA. You need to focus your introduction, and you need a conclusion.You have a lot of summary in here, and it would be better to provide focused analysis. Agree with me, be contacting your professor first, have him/her choose the books for us to write and provide me with those books.
