Instruction
Write a contract. Make sure to include all components of a basic contract and language to prevent some of the common pitfalls which could likely hamper the execution and performance of that contract.
Points to remember:
_________________
1) Your contract could by any type and can be as complex or simple as you feel is necessary. Regardless, the more you integrate materials covered in class, the better your grade will likely be.
2) Make sure to prevent ambiguity in the contract (that which will lead to more than one interpretation).
3) Do not attempt to use overly technical legal language.
4) Please do not attempt to use some prefabricated contract or one you may have used in your job or some other aspect of your life. The purpose of this assignment is for you to ID the necessary elements of a contract and prevent common problems in a contract. Thus, it is necessary for you to construct an original work.
5) While it is unnecessary, if you have exhibits or addenda that you need for the contract, please feel free to add those.
6) Since we did not cover sale of goods, you need not abide by the rules as to sale of goods in contracts, if you wish to do a contract for sale of goods.
