Instruction
This assignment is for a discussion board. The original question is: Other than not to harm others, do we owe any ethical obligation to anyone else?
Another student wrote this down and you need to write a 2 paragraph response to it:
It is our responsibility to treat others ethically, regardless of situation. So we do not owe ethical obligation to anyone. People have to treat people with respect, even if there is tension between relationships/people/cultures. We are all one population, and people need to realize that we are all just people. If the world were to ethically treat people equally, there would not be as many issues throughout the globe.
It is one of my biggest moral obligations to treat others as I were to treat myself - it is just how i am. A doctor should treat all of their patients with the same respect and try not to harm any patient while treating them. A teacher should treat all students equally, even if one may slow down the entire class. Basically everybody should treat others with respect. But business, greed, and corruption could get in the way of our "Golden Rule." And that is something that our generation needs to fix.
In the end, we are inherently one conscious being working together to provide for ourselves and our families so that we can all live a happy life.
