The author discusses the many benefits of the American philanthropic tradition, but does not discuss the potential negative aspects, or tribulations, of that system. Are there negative aspects of the American philanthropic model, and if so, what might they be? Please briefly explain your reasoning to illustrate any pitfalls you list.
(2) Paul Pribbenow, the author of "Fundraising as a Public Service", quotes Bloland and Borenstein, on pg. 34, writing that, "fundraising is 'far from a mature profession.'" Do you agree with the quoted authors? Please explain how you reached your answer.
(3) In "Revelance and Twenty-First Century Fundraising Fundamentals", the author states that a funding emergency can be opportunity to increase fundraising, as well as multiple funding projects. What are thepossible positive or negative aspects of fundraising in such circumstances?
