You must first decide which side of the issue you support. Your argument for this paper involves the use of shock therapy treatment for persons with autism / intellectual disabilities. You must first research and know the issue, THEN support your position with empirical research (dated 2012 2017), legal cases, or legislation. Your paper will consist of the necessary research, legal cases or legislation to support your argument: shock therapy treatment is appropriate OR shock therapy treatment is inappropriate. You must also think about the use of the treatment on person who cannot voluntarily submit to the treatment AND the issue of the legal right of guardians or parents who consent to the treatment on their child. Are there CIVIL RIGHTS issues connected with this issue for both the person being shocked and the guardians and parents? Your research should include information on the pros and cons (benefits and harms) of shock therapy treatment. This paper requires a minimum of 4 relevant resources.
