Extending Learning with the 6Ds

How can the 6Ds you have learned about in the book help evaluate a learning organization?

Read Case in Point 1.2: Extending Learning at Emerson in your text on page 21-22. Based on Emersons account please find an example of an organization which is not a learning organization. Compare and contrast the key characteristics of learning organizations at Emerson with your example. How does your example fail to meet the characteristics of a learning organization? (Tip: Think about an organization, company, etc. that failed or even went out of business because they didn't "learn", i.e., adapt, change, etc.)

The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:
Write between 1,250 1,750 words (approximately 3 5 pages) using Microsoft Word in APA style, see example below.
Use font size 12 and 1 margins.
Include cover page and reference page.
At least 80% of your paper must be original content/writing.
No more than 20% of your content/information may come from references.
Use at least three references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.

References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable for academic writing.

Good day, I checked the new work you have posted, and would like to work on it. I'm the most experienced scholar here, currently pursuing my PhD and am pretty comfortable with these topics. With more than 5000 projects done, I'm very comfortable with any kind of formatting or referencing style. I have online access to several paid websites like wiley, pubs, scifinder, sciencedirect etc, and so I make sure You get only good journals and peer reviewed references. Looking forward to your reply; also if there are additional instructions etc, please do let me know. Thank you

  • Hello my friend. I received a 0 on my assignment. Here is the message I received from my instructor. Thanks for your submission. I appreciate your effort, but we have a problem. Crown corporation is not an "organization" like an individual company or business. They are called "Crown corporations" and are any corporation controlled by a particular country's government (Hence the word Crown). They are not a singular unit but rather a large number of individual corporations all of whom have their own individual characteristics, etc. They exist in countries like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. For this assignment, you were to find an example of an organization (singular) which is not a learning organization. You kept referring to them as "Crown Coporation" as if they were one business, but they are not. As such, this submission doesn't meet the requirements for the assignment. Since this is Week 1, I'd like to offer you the opportunity to resubmit the assignment NLT 16 April for reconsideration. A good example to use for this assignment might be Blockbuster Videos or any business that perhaps failed because they didn't learn and adapt. If you don't resubmit by Sunday 16 April, I will grade this "as is" without a valid individual organization selection. Let me know if you need help or have questions. Steve
