Hi Pinghong. I think the hard copy of book would not help, as during exams I wouldn't be able to find text using Ctrl + F (which is possible in the online book), nor will I be able to make notes by copy-paste from the book. That would involve a lot more hard work. Even the last assignment was a lot of hard work - there were almost daily assignments in that. I had to read a lot daily, which was crucial for daily forum assignments. So even with the e book, things were difficult, and with the hard copy its going to be even more difficult. As in your last course, I think you will get the e book right at the start of the course. So I think it would be great if you get the ebook, without which it would be very difficult for me to work on this course.

Also, I am out of town on 7/15 and 7/16 (which is when this course starts), so I have done the forum work for those two days in advance and have also written a mail for same to professor (that due to some personal work, I'll be busy for two days, so I am doing the work for the first two days in advance). Hi Pinghong. I gave your first exam, and it was not easy to say the least. I scored 46/86, which is not up to the mark. Feeling really disappointed. I created lot of notes for this exam, still it was really confusing, and I had a tough time giving this exam. But I've got a flavor of how the questions will be in the coming exams. So I'll try my best to perform better in next 2 exams.

Hi Pinghong. I am feeling really bad to tell you that the exams are really very tough, and despite preparing very hard, I am not able to score a lot. In this exam, I could only manage 52/84 (which is a little better than last exam, but still way below your and my expectation). I cannot tell you how much effort did I put into this exam (I am attaching the notes that I prepared here), and did revision 2-3 times, and was very confident of good scores, but somehow the questions were tougher than my expectation, which is why I couldn't get good score. Now I am feeling really bad that I am not able to get you good scores (even after putting in so much hard work). Just because my mind doesn't get diverted into any other thing, I have not even taken any other project in parallel to this project, still I am not able to perform well. I don't know what to say to you apart from a "sorry" for not being able to match the expectations that I have set for myself. Please let me know if you want me to give the final exam, or if you would want to hire someone else for that? FYI - the last exam is worth 60 points (30 objective questions - 1 min per ques). Till now, the 2 exams together had a maximum of 170 points (out of which I could gather 104 only).

I am trying my best to get you good grades, but since the first two exams held more marks, where I was not able to score a lot, I feel its really tough now to get to C, but still I'll try hard to get to it. I am feeling so bad for not being able to do good work for you in this course. But I just hope you'll still continue working with me, as you are one of those whom I am really comfortable working with. And except for this course, I hope I have never disappointed you earlier. Hi Pinghong. After a lot of disappointment in the first 2 exams, I finally have a good news for you. The performance in last exam was extremely good, and I scored 56/60. Then the Prof. added 10 marks for briefs, making it 66/60 :). So overall, the test score for three tests was 170/230 (74% approx). Then I also put in efforts in the other assignments (forum work and 15 briefs). The work was always on time, and it received appreciation from professor. In fact I was mostly the first one to submit the assignments. In the end, due to everything being submitted on time and with quality, and working on assignments daily, the final score was much better than our expectation. So.. hold your breath (as you might not believe it).. you got 80% marks (B-), which is a great achievement considering that the first 2 tests didn't go that well. I am really happy now that I didn't disappoint you too much. I was really depressed after the first 2 tests. I am also attaching the exam 3 preparation material here, which may help you later on. Did you get a chance to see your grades for Sports Law? The course was removed from the Pacific University Sakai site 3-4 days after completion.
