Write essays that demonstrate an understanding of the relevant course material (i.e. the assigned readings and video lectures) and an ability to think critically about the historical topics under consideration. 2. Each essay should be roughly 500-750 words, typed and double spaced with standard set margins. Proper pronunciation and grammar will count to a degree in the exam grade. 3. Your essays should contain a respectable number of facts and quotes from the video lectures and assigned reading. Outside sources such as other books or the internet are not relevant for this assignment. You do not need to provide footnotes or in-text citation but use quotation marks for direct quotes and do not copy text or otherwise plagiarize under any circumstances.
