  • You have some great description and good detail using the five senses. I really enjoyed your description of your sister's fascination with your ears. I would go even further with this, though. As you revise add more description about what you saw, felt, and heard that day. Also, try tightening your writing a little. What I mean by that is try to get to the memory of your sister's death a little earlier in your essay. Delete or revise sections that seem vague or unnecessary. You are definitely headed in the right direction, though. I look forward to reading your final memoir!
