Take any of two of my published short stories or novelsmix and match--and compare and contrast them, writing in the MLA format, using in-text citations and a Works Cited page.

You are writing an essay, so make sure you have a thesis statement near the front (not a conclusion up front, but a generalized statement) and then your body points and a conclusion. This essay can be five or more paragraphs. Im not looking for a long essay but a well-written essay, writing clearly about two stories. Your essay may be as short as two pages plus a Works Cited page. Please dont write more than five pages (plus a Works Cited page).

The SMC Bookstore carries my books. The Middle-Aged Man and the Sea and Months and Seasons are my short story collections, and they have at least a dozen stories each, so you dont need both books. If you want to be practical, after you use the book, you might give it away as a present. I can inscribe your book to anyone you want.
