THIS IS THE ASSIGNMENT:
Preliminary Abstract for Exhibition Proposal “The Road to the Constitution."
At Seton Hall University, the Walsh Gallery holds a wide range of artistic and learning opportunities, which found in the form of exhibitions. Learning exhibitions, in particular, help students grasp aspects of history and politics better because of the intellectual enrichment of students through art. My exhibition “The Road to the Constitution" will enrich the learning of the students in that they will understand the relevance of the United States Constitution in the Achievement of Independence.
The mission of the gallery, library, the university, and the community is to emphasize on the intellectual enrichment of students through art. The missions also underscore the importance of exposing students to the art and exhibitions in an attempt to preserve their cultural aspects. My exhibition will be able to accord all the students with learning opportunities that will enrich them intellectually. They learn about political and the legal processes and stages which led to the development of the American constitution and the current place of the USA in the world.
My exhibition also hints that the development of the American Constitution, the achievement of independence and the creation of the USA as a whole required the input of different people as well as several legislations. The emphasis on these ideas, such as those of John Locke and Thomas Jefferson, clarify the relevance of diversity inputs and the cultural dynamism that the school and the overall community embody. In addition, my exhibition asserts that cultural dynamism should be preserved as an aspect of societal development.
Overall, my exhibition is based on both a political and a legislative theme concerning the development of the USA to its current state. The Virginia Constitution is cited continuously as a key document which formed the basis of independence in the country. The bill of right is also regarded as part of the constitutional development and students of the Seton Hall University can rely on my exhibition as the basis of learning fundamental political processes and advancements in the history of the USA.
My exhibition should be placed in the Walsh gallery and objects such as photographs, brochures and scripts should accompany the exhibition. These objects will explain the relevance of the exhibition, its motivation as well as the key themes which it purports to present. The photographs used will capture the USA constitution, the Bill of Rights and Virginia's constitution among other documents which are relevant to the "Road to Independence" exhibition.
Photographs of the USA constitution, the Bill of Rights and Virginia's constitution are already accessible in the national museums, and hence, curators are my potential lenders. An effective schedule will be made on how to borrow the photographs from the museums and this will involve loaning aspects. Borrowing the photographs for the exhibition from the museums will involve external loaning which is also referred as off campus loan. When lending the photographs to students within the school, internal or on -campus loaning will be used. Car shipping will be used in the transportation of my exhibition to the Walsh gallery which is the most appropriate venue. Students will be able to access the exhibition from the Walsh gallery, and its accompanying objects will be made available in the Walsh gallery and also in the school library for them to borrow on a short-term basis.
