Note: A descriptive essay
Presumes the audience (me) has seen the film and hence does not provide a detailed summary of the film's plot; (At most, it provides a very general overview of the film's plot.)
Avoids strong opinions or arguments;
Aims to be as objective and concrete as possible, including details whenever possible;
Focuses on two to four points related to topics of the course and to (political) themes of the film.
I imagine a 3-step construction of a descriptive essay: (1) Taking class notes on the film; (2) Revisiting the class notes soon thereafter with still fresh memories of the film in order to add specific details, filling gaps, etc.; (3) Returning to organize the notes into a descriptive account of the film.
