A primary document is anything that is created at the time of an event or by someone who was an eyewitness. Examples of primary documents are letters, diaries, court or civil records, newspapers, census records, or recorded oral histories. Each has a drawback, but when taken with other sources, an accurate interpretation of what happened can be created. please find ONE primary document on your chosen subject. You can find these in EBSCO host, or by doing a Google search of your topic + primary document. Once you have your document, read over the handout on how to evaluate primary sources so you are familiar with the criteria. Then, complete the worksheet attached, by saving it and then reopening it.
