STEP TWO: RESPOND TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS (address in body of paper, Essay-style)
Briefly identify and describe each of the assessments you took based on what you have read about the different Theories of Intelligence (Spearman's Two-Factor Theory, Gardner's Multiple Intelligences, Fluid vs Crystallized Intelligence, etc). How did the three scores compare? (You do not need to share your scores with the instructor.) What might account for the similarity or difference?
What variables may have affected your score?
What evidence do the websites provide about their validity? (You may need to explore the site before answering this questions.) To answer this, you may need to explain what is validity.
Which test do you think is the more valid measurement of intelligence? Explain why. You may have to recall your text reading.
Based on all you have learned about assessing intelligence, summarize the benefits and limitations of Intelligence Tests. Support your answer with facts, concepts, and research.
To complete this assignment, you may consider defining intelligence, IQ, validity, and review the different theories of intelligence.
Approach the essay as “mini” research papers. That is, address each question as if you are writing a research paper. This means you will need to do some “researching” to make your comments. Your major resource for this course will be your text book. That is, before you write and submit any essays, read the text! Also, always list your text as a reference.
