On the topic of research with human subjects: What do you think the main components of an ethically valid informed consent are and is it different from current practice? Could anything justify an experiment without informed consent? If there were a hypothetical situation where informed consent could interfere with an experiment, but the outcome could greatly benefit society, would Kant allow the experiment to proceed? What about Jeremy Bentham? Under which ethical umbrella do you fall?
