Instruction
-write about an instance in which you were deceived, or in error. This instance should fit neatly into one of Descartes's stages of doubt. The point of this essay will be to help Descartes carry out his project by providing your own personal ground for doubt. You will need to explain his larger project to successfully execute your own task here, and to make what you are doing clear to the reader. -Using the iLogos software, or some equivalent, create a diagram that represents the argument you are using to ground Descartes's stage of doubt. Try to insert the diagram into the same document that contains your essay. If you are unable to insert it, though you have tried very hard to do so, you may upload the diagram separately. iLogos http://www.phil.cmu.edu/projects/argument_mapping/ - or use something similar to iLogos -3 pages -Do not forget to include a Works Cited page. - i will share the pages of the book later

  • Your essay is very confusing. You continually claim that dreams are *not* a ground for doubting anything, then, every once in a while, you claim that we cannot tell the difference between dreams and reality. If we cannot tell the difference between dreams and reality, then dreams definitely *are* a ground for doubting. Anyway, this is Descartes's view, and you are supposed to support his view. You seem to still not know what his view is. Your example of dreaming is interesting, but you don't use the example in a way that supports Descartes's project. Your "diagram" is visually interesting, but does not represent an *argument* as far as I can tell. This leads me to wonder whether you know what an argument is at this late date.
